Silence is a word pregnant with multiple meanings: for many a threat; for others a nostalgic evocation of a time rendered obsolete by technology; for others a sentence to boredom; and for some, devotees of the ancient arts of contemplation, reading, and writing, a word of profound, even sacred importance.

Myth and metaphor play an important role in constructing our culture and creating purpose in our lives.  They are tools that help the subconscious mind to digest the happenings of a world that is too complex for our five senses alone.  The poet uses these tools to arouse you. The screenwriter uses them to amuse you.

If you haven’t already noticed, there’s an agenda at play every year to keep people in a state of fear. Many of you are likely becoming very receptive to the extent of the psychological operation being played out in the mainstream media and one which the alternative media is willfully piggybacking on to further condition the public through terror.

More than ever our world needs a new generation of youthful and caring people capable of comprehending the problems we face, while maintaining the clarity of mind and compassion needed to seek and find creative solutions to this morass. For this, our youth need to be healthy, energetic, and free from the myriad traps that our society offers today.
